Security maintenance contracts, Johannesburg
Peace of mind that your security is actually working.
An electric fence, a gate or a camera only protects the property while it works. One Point tests, services and fixes every system at your complex, estate or business premises twice a month, for one fixed monthly fee. You know it is working, you know what it costs, and keeping it that way is our job, not yours.
Run by Tyson Botha, One Point Maintenance CC. Maintaining security in Johannesburg since 2010.

The risk nobody budgets for
A security system that is not working is not protecting anyone
Security systems rarely fail all at once. A battery holds a little less every month, a gate wheel wears, a fence zone starts tripping in the rain and gets switched off. From the outside everything looks fine, until the night it is needed.
If nobody is checking, the failure lands on whoever runs the property: the trustees, the estate manager, the managing agent or the business owner. They answer to residents, owners and insurers, and they are left paying for the emergency call-out and the replacement that maintenance would have avoided.
A fixed maintenance contract takes that risk off your desk.
- A fence zone switched off "for now" because it kept tripping, and never switched back on.
- A gate motor running on a dead battery until the day the power goes off and it will not open.
- A camera that has recorded a blur for months, discovered only when footage is needed.
- A neglected motor or energiser that burns out, turning a small service into a large replacement bill.
- After an incident, residents, owners and insurers all asking the same question: who was checking it?
Why a fixed contract
Dependable security, a fixed monthly cost, and nothing to chase
Everything a property operator needs from their security, handed to one contractor for one predictable fee.
Systems you can depend on
Every fence zone, gate, boom, camera and access point is tested twice a month, so faults are found and fixed on our visit, not discovered on the night something goes wrong.
A budget that holds
One fixed monthly fee, call-outs included. Regular servicing keeps motors, energisers and batteries alive for longer, so you are not hit by the large, unplanned bills that neglect causes.
Proof the work was done
A job card after every visit records what was tested and fixed. When owners, residents or an insurer ask whether the systems were maintained, you have the answer on file.
The headache is ours
One owner-run contractor checks, services, fixes and reports. No chasing suppliers, no comparing call-out quotes at midnight, no wondering whether anyone looked at the fence this month.
Who it is for
Built for the people who answer for the property
If the security fails, you are the one who gets the call. Whether you sit on a board of trustees, run an estate, manage a portfolio of schemes or look after business premises, the contract puts the checking and fixing in our hands.
What we maintain
Every system on the perimeter, under one contract
One contractor for the fence, the gates, the cameras and the access control, so there is no finger-pointing between suppliers when something stops working.
Electric fences
Voltage, pulse and every zone tested. Joins, insulators and earths checked, strands tensioned, and the signal to your security company and the siren tested.

What property and business owners say
The alarm system in our complex guard room had become unreliable and nobody knew when it had last been serviced. One Point went through the system properly, replaced several worn components and restored it to working order.
Sipho N.Complex
Our estate wanted a more controlled way to manage visitors. One Point installed a system that allows residents to receive calls from the gate and approve access from their phones.
Zinhle M.Estate
One Point took over maintenance of the alarm at our offices after years of different technicians working on it. Tyson labelled the zones properly, fixed several wiring issues and left us with a system that finally makes sense.
Puleng M.Business premises
We needed cameras installed in our complex entrance without interfering with the gate equipment. One Point coordinated the installation properly and delivered a very professional result.
Sipho K.Complex
Why not just call someone when something breaks?
Because by then the system has already failed, usually at night or over a weekend, and the property has been unprotected for however long the fault went unnoticed. Unmaintained equipment also fails harder: a gate motor run on a dead battery or an energiser left in the rain often needs replacing, not repairing. A contract finds those faults early and keeps the cost fixed.
How much does a maintenance contract cost?
It is a fixed monthly fee, quoted for your property after we have walked it, because it depends on the length of the perimeter and the systems on site. The quote sets out the fee and the scope so it can be approved and compared with another quote.
What does the monthly fee include?
Two planned maintenance visits a month, two office-hours emergency call-outs a month attended within 48 hours, a job card after every visit, and the routine servicing listed on our What's covered page. Replacement equipment and damage by vehicles or vandals are quoted separately, in writing, before any work starts.
How long is the contract?
Twelve months at a fixed fee, reviewed before renewal. Either side can cancel with one calendar month's written notice.
Can you take over from our current contractor?
Yes. We start with an inspection and a written report on the condition of every system, so you know what you are taking on before the contract starts.
Who runs these contracts?
One Point Maintenance CC, owned and run by Tyson Botha, who has installed and maintained security systems in Johannesburg since 2010. This site covers our maintenance contracts; installations and once-off repairs for homes and businesses are on onepointmaintenance.co.za.
