What we check on each system
Electric fences
- Voltage and pulse tested on every zone, and the energiser and its battery tested.
- Joins, insulators, tensioners and earth spikes checked, and broken or perished parts replaced.
- Strands tensioned and vegetation touching the fence reported.
- The alarm signal to your security company and the siren tested.
Gates and booms
- Motor oil and bearings checked, rollers greased and tracks cleaned.
- Battery and charger tested so the gate keeps working through power cuts.
- Remotes, safety beams and loop detectors tested.
- Boom pivots and hinges serviced, and rust treated before it spreads.
CCTV
- Lenses and rain shields cleaned, focus and angles checked.
- Night images checked, and recording and remote viewing tested.
- Cabling and connections checked for wear or tampering.
Intercoms and access control
- Power supplies and wiring checked, readers and keypads cleaned.
- Every access point tested, including locks and exit buttons.
- Users added or removed on your written instruction, where you give us the access passwords.
What is not included
- Replacement equipment, such as a gate motor, energiser, camera, recorder or battery.
- Damage by vehicles or vandals.
- Cutting back vegetation along the fence line.
- Call-outs beyond the two a month, and call-outs outside office hours.
Each of these is quoted in writing before any work starts.
Job cards
After every visit you receive a job card listing each system that was tested, what was found, what was fixed on the spot and what needs a quote. Job cards are left at the guardhouse or emailed to whoever the contract names, usually the chair of trustees, the managing agent or the facility manager.
